On March 1, 1815, the exiled Napoleon returned to France. Twenty days later, the great powers of Europe once more armed for war. Outnumbered, Napoleon risked all on a calculated gamble: to strike at, and shatter, the fragile prussian-anglo Alliance that stood between him and Brussels. The battle of Waterloo would decide the fate of Europe.
